I think this is the end of my Rolex watch collecting journey. Rolex is the most recognisable brand in the world, that’s for sure. Even some of the older generation will know Rolex but perhaps not even Aquanaut and Nautilus which has been like the holy grail for many.
Let's face it, getting from the AD a Rolex sports model is the shiok factor, that you got it "naturally". It's also not terribly difficult to get a Daytona if you're into watches, just that it won't be your first or second. Official Rolex service centre, not the retail store itself, is able to authenticate Rolex watches so if anyone is wondering if you need to get other brands to start the Rolex journey, my personal experience is yes even for the non popular models. You can persist to buy only Rolex DJ and basic dials OP to build profile and nothing else (which is what one of my friend did and he is happy with it), but you will find that there is a limit to the models you can get (which my friend didn't mind though).
